I have lived in Mandeok for a long time, but this was my first visit to this restaurant. I went at about 8:30 on a Tuesday evening with a couple who are friends of mine. There is a butcher on the ground floor, and the place handles the Korean beef it has slaughtered itself.
We ordered the medium hanu mak-gui for 90,000 won. With mak-gui you cannot choose the cut, and it changes from day to day, so there is a risk in not knowing what you will get.
The cut that day did not look bad. The meat was in decent condition too, and we had a generous amount of Korean beef for a low price. Eleven days later I went back for the small size.
