# Lamb skewers at Shanghai Tan in Suyeong: cheap and good, tricky fire

Shanghai Tan is a lamb skewer restaurant I have been to several times since its early days. At about 5 on a Monday afternoon, a friend and I went there as the first stop of the day. It is on the first floor of the building right to the left as you come out of exit 7 of Suyeong Station.

If you come late, there is often a line. If you want a quiet meal, it is better to arrive early.

## Skewers and ribs

We ordered lamb skewers and mala lamb skewers. The mala ones have seasoning on the outside, so you can tell them apart.

The lamb skewers were very good. The lamb ribs are grilled on a wire grill.

The fire is hard to manage. Fat drips from the skewers and flames can flare up.

## Egg fried rice

The egg fried rice was good too.
