# A Guinness at Acorn in Suyeong, where the owner is as kind as ever

> A bar in Suyeong for a third round after Haesam Meongge Malmijal. I had only a Guinness, and my friend had a shot of whisky. We nearly did not get a seat.

At about 8 on a Saturday evening, after the second round at [Haesam Meongge Malmijal](/en/posts/suyeong-haesam-meongge-malmijal-20260815/), my friend and I went to Acorn for a third. It is a bar I have been to several times. There are also notes from [April 16](/en/posts/suyeong-acorn-20260416/) and [April 25](/en/posts/suyeong-acorn-20260425/).

You go into the alley to the right of the McDonald's near Suyeong Station. A standing sign is set out in the alley.

The bar is small and has few seats. That evening too, no seat was free when we arrived and we nearly could not sit. A group happened to leave, and we got in. It is better to ask whether a seat is free before you go.

I had drunk a lot of soju in the first two rounds, so here I had only a Guinness.

My friend ordered a shot of whisky. This bar has many kinds of whisky. If it is hard to choose, the owner recommends one. The owner is kind every time I come. I think the prices are reasonable too.

The room feels cozy. Figures are set out above the bar, and one wall is filled with Polaroid photos of guests who have visited.
