At about 6:30 on Friday evening, the day of Chuseok, I got together with friends for the holiday. They are friends I have known since high school, including one who had come down from another city for Chuseok. The restaurant is one friend’s regular spot. That friend is close with the owner too. We come here on regular days too.
Even on a holiday evening it was nearly full. It seems to be a popular place in this neighborhood.
The hagfish is grilled over coal briquettes in a brazier by the entrance and then brought to you. You eat it right away without grilling it further at the table. We had two servings salt-grilled and two servings marinated. We kept it short that night and went on to Makssereo Hoetjip for a second round.

Of the hagfish restaurants I have tried in Busan, this is the one I like best. I do feel that hagfish has gotten more expensive lately. Around the time I wrote this visit up on my Naver blog, the map listing showed 30,000 won for a small and 60,000 won for the top size (teuk). I usually have fried rice with it.
I know about the promotion where Chamisul caps come printed with MBTI types, so I check every time for INTJ, which is mine. That night the caps were ISTP and INTP. These days many caps have no letters at all, and I wonder if the promotion has ended.
