At about 8:40 on a Saturday night I stopped at the oden truck in Mandeok. It is where I stop on the way home to settle my stomach on days I have been drinking with a friend. There is also [a note from a stop in March](/en/posts/mandeok-odeng-truck-20260309/).

The truck has no name of its own and is not registered on the map. It stands near Mandeok Station, in front of the 24-hour Jeonju Myeongga bean sprout soup restaurant. "Mandeok Oden Truck" is just what I call it.

A fish cake skewer is 700 won. It used to be 500 won. I usually have one rice cake skewer and two fish cake skewers. That is enough to fill me up. Otherwise I order udon. They sell noodles and soju too.

The truck has been in business in Mandeok for a long time. Taxi drivers stop by often. It is open in the small hours too. There is a small table next to the truck.

The food is not special in taste. I go because it costs little and I like the feel of it, which brings back old times. After eating, the hunger goes and I feel a little more sober.
