# Back at Namdaepo Hanu in Mandeok: the small mixed cut fell a bit short

> I returned to this Mandeok butcher restaurant with another friend. The beef was tasty, but the cut this time was not as good as the one I had before.

I liked the [mak-gui I had on May 19](/en/posts/mandeok-namdaepo-hanu-20260519/), so at about 6:30 on a Saturday evening I went back to Namdaepo Hanu with another friend. This time I ordered the small hanu mak-gui for 60,000 won.

A different cut came out from last time. That is to be expected, since the menu says up front that the cut varies. The meat itself was tasty, but the earlier cut was better, so I felt a little let down.

If you want a particular cut, you can order it separately. What I wanted from this menu, though, was a tasty cut at a low price. Even so, the fresh, recently slaughtered Korean beef was still good.

I wonder whether the cut depends on the large, medium or small size.
