# Horangi Yeontan, Dongnae: decent webfoot octopus, small portion

I wanted webfoot octopus, so at about 8 on a Thursday evening I went to Horangi Yeontan in Dongnae. It is a bar that serves food grilled over coal briquettes, near Dongnae Station. There was a short wait before I got in. The second stop that night is in a separate post, [my May note on Miso](/en/posts/dongnae-miso-20260507/).

I ordered the set for two that comes with briquette-grilled spicy webfoot octopus and grilled mackerel. It is 39,900 won.

There was less octopus than I expected, which was disappointing. The taste was fine. For grilled webfoot octopus alone, I prefer Huiyane Seoksoe Jjukkumi.

The staff were friendly. If you want webfoot octopus in Dongnae, I would recommend it.

It opens at 5 p.m. on weekdays and at 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. It closes at midnight, and at 11 p.m. on Sundays. For parking you have to use the paid Dongnae public lot.

The grilled mackerel tasted fine too. I prefer regular grilled mackerel, though.
