A friend who had been visiting on vacation and I had a meal together before my friend went home. We had been drinking until dawn the night before, so around lunchtime I chose Pyeongyangjip to settle our stomachs. It mainly serves northern-style tofu dumplings.
I knew it as a place listed as a Bib Gourmand in the 2026 Michelin Guide Busan. It is in Deokcheon-dong, close to home, but I rarely go that way and had kept putting it off.
We parked at the Gupo Market public parking lot and walked. It is next to a residential area, so I think parking in front would be awkward. Two spots were free when we arrived, and we took the larger one. Guests seemed to turn over quickly, so even with a wait I do not think it would take long. I do not know what weekends are like.
My friend and I both ordered the tofu dumpling soup. It is 10,000 won. It comes with rice and sides such as chives, chili paste, and kimchi.

The seasoning was not strong. I enjoyed it.

Other tables seemed to order the mung bean pancake a lot. I am not fond of it and wanted a simple meal, so I did not order it.
On the wall are notes written by the owner: tips for eating the dumpling soup and something like a confession. They were fun to read.
